Emily Warren Roebling Speaker Series: Alexandria Sica, Dumbo Improvement District
Adams Street Library is pleased to present the Emily Warren Roebling Speaker Series, which will feature successful women in a variety of fields speaking on her path to success. This program series is inspired by the achievements of Emily Warren Roebling, an engineer who completed work on the Brooklyn Bridge in 1883.
People of all ages are welcome to attend, especially young folks in our local middle and high schools. Snacks and drinks will be provided.
Join us for a conversation with Alexandria Sica, Executive Director of the Dumbo Improvement District moderated by teen librarian Sasha Jones.
Alexandria has led the Dumbo Improvement District for the last 11 years, helping to shape the community by engaging creative businesses, transforming public space, and advocating for the neighborhood at all levels of government. Alexandria has an MBA from NYU and an undergraduate degree from Brown University in economics. Before joining the BID, Alexandria worked for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and US Senator Charles Schumer on economic development initiatives.
