E-Waste & Textile Collection Event with Department of Sanitation

Join us for a free e-waste and textile collection event in partnership with the Department of Sanitation, powered by Lower East Side Ecology Center.  Let's recycle the things we own responsibly! 

The event will take place OUTSIDE the library on the Ridge Boulevard side. Parking will not be available on that side of the street on Saturday until after the event is over. 

E-waste collected at these events include: household and office electronics (computers, laptops, keyboards, printers), smaller entertainment electronics (video game consoles, cell phones, MP3 players), and TVs, VCRs, DVDs, DVRs. 

*Unacceptable items: commercial e-waste, household appliances, air conditioners, batteries, lightbulbs.

Textiles collected at these events include: clothing, shoes, accessories, linens, and all fabric items that are clean, dry, and unsoiled. Textile dropoffs must be in bags!

PLEASE NOTE that paper shredding will NOT be available at this event. Thank you!
