Daily Walk: Amy Peck, Prospect Park historian
adults
BPL Presents
demolab
green series
As part of Democracy Lab at the Spacebuster, join us for a guided walk through the neighborhood led by a different artist, activist, historian or architect each day.
On Monday's walk, led by Prospect Park Alliance archivist and historian Amy Peck, we will explore Grand Army Plaza, experiencing the tension between its integrity as a public space in its own right, and its planned function as antechamber, threshold and preamble to the one of New York’s greatest designed spaces, Prospect Park.
Amy Peck is the archivist and historian for Prospect Park Alliance. In this role she oversees an archive of documents, maps and images that serve to advance public understanding and appreciation for the history of Prospect Park from its design by Olmsted, Vaux & Co. in 1866 to the present day.
