Central Cookbook Club: Food and Loathing: Our (Dis)Favorites
Sometimes it's an off-putting scent or viscous texture or stomach-churning color. Sometimes it brings back memories of a bad experience of being shamed into not finishing every bite, sometimes it's that your mom snuck into everything she made because she though it was funny that you and your siblings didn't like it, sometimes you couldn't stand it when you were little but grew to love it, but before despised it with a passion. Mayo, Mushrooms, Coconut, Liver, Lima Beans, Tuna casserole, Pineapple and Anchovies on pizza, Jell-O Salads, Okra, Liquid-Cheez, there so are many foods some of us really really really don't like and we're gonna complain about them together while looking at the usual spread of glossy, interesting cookbooks of foods near and dear.
Do you like to cook, talk about cooking, learn techniques, share recipes and more? If so, the Central Library Cookbook Club is for you! This month we'll be meeting the Business & Career Center on the 2nd Fl, meeting room 7.
