June He will host a Storytelling and Drawing Workshop on her latest picture book: Kaia and Tutu’s Journey to the World. It is a charming picture book with gifted illustrations and profound thoughts depicting the relationship among a girl, a sea turtle, and their environment. It’s a story about friendship, courage, and a spirit of adventure. It is a bilingual book in English and Chinese. June will read the book in English, teach some Chinese characters, and guide young reader to draw animals from the book.

June He is an artist, designer and author Illustrator for children’s picture book based in New York. Her work investigates and critiques issues at the intersections of nature, humanity and consumerism. She holds an MFA in Art & Design from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She is a permanent member of American Association of Chinese Writers.
