Antiracist Family Day - Brooklyn Children's Museum
A Free Family Event Celebrating Diversity, Justice, and Community
Brooklyn Public Library presents the fifth annual Antiracist Family Day, a free family event on the Brooklyn Children's Museum rooftop. Participants will learn about age-appropriate antiracist practices, including celebrating and affirming different races and identities, discussing justice and injustice, and modeling/providing ways young children can engage in activism. This year's activities include:
- Musical performance with Musiquita
- Book giveaways with Brooklyn Book Bodega
- Justice Art Build with Antiracist Parenting 101
- Freedom to Read activities for Banned Books Week.
- Bilingual Storytime with BPL librarians
- Marigold Altars and activities with East NY Farms.
- Local Author book signing & activities
- Art and Community Care with Mixteca
- Know Your Rights Resources with the Carroll Gardens Nanny Association
- Barriletes gigantes workshop with Asociación Barriletes Hijos del Viento Guatemala
- Library Resources and Giveaways with BPL Librarians.
