This event includes the poetry of Langston Hughes set by composer Margaret Bonds, poetry by James Emanuel, and a performance of Lift Every Voice and Sing, the "Black National Anthem." With Jasmine Wilson on vocals, Joey Chang on piano and narration by Damian Norfleet.
