Brooklyn Resists Exhibition: Brooklyn’s BLM Protests

In 2020, in the midst of a global pandemic and a contentious election year, people took to the streets to rally against, injustice, police violence and oppression.

Brooklynites especially gathered at major sites throughout the borough, and throughout the streets, ensuring they were both seen and heard.

The Brooklyn Resists collection consists of photographs documenting demonstrations and events around the Black Lives Matter movement, in response to the killing of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor in 2020, and against racial injustice in the United States.

The collection features the work of several New York City-based photographers.
