  • SummarySustainability Coach, Tina Wong worked with PS34 to produce an Eco-Fashion Show to raise awareness of the environmental impacts of consumption and waste. 24 students from grades Pre-Kindergarten to 5th spent four months working with their families to collect waste to create a design that is showcased at the culminating event - a runway show. Izzy is a mermaid and her theme is Water. She wants to teach people that plastic bags account for 1,700 tons of garbage each week in NYC many of which end up in the ocean.
