Caption on verso: "I'm Ready: Five-year-old Jerry Workman of 55 Rogers Ave. was the youngest of the 20,000 in the parade and remained for the entire march down Eastern Parkway. It was estimated that a record crowd witnessed the event, although the size of the parade was held down by the fact that many of the previous participants have been mustered into the service."
