Aimee Square the area bounded by Nostrant [sic] Avenue, Madison Place and Avenue P, Brooklyn, in memory of the 23-year-old jet pilot who was killed in a plane crash on July 8, 1954. Kenneth was following the trail blazed by his father, Assistant Sanitation Commissioner Joseph M. Aimee Sr., of 1621 East 29th Street, Brooklyn, a World War I pilot, and his older brother, Joseph Jr., a pilot in World War 2. Looking on as Mayor Wagner signs the law are (L to R): Commissioner Aimee, Joseph Aimee Jr., Mrs. Aimee Sr. and Miss Inez Aimee."
