Wing in foreground said to have been built about 1719 by one of sons of Johanness Schenk, miller. Main house dates about 1788, at which time Nicholas Wyckoff purchased property. Wyckoff lived here until 1911. They still own & ferquently visit the house. Note narrow clapoboards in front. Ends of house are havey shingles. Barn [seen in 0300] erected about 1788 is shingled all over & painted red. Buildings probably have original shingles on side walls ... " Images include long, white picket fence along side (0300) and front (0301).
