Bushwick Ave. M. E. Church, above, had Mrs. Bertha Scannell giving religious training to Douglas Scannell, 7, and Melinda Sue Meade, 4". Inscription on verso of 0292 (5 x 8 in.): "At Hanson Place Baptist Church, an elaborate float depicting the theme of the parade, 'Christ the Redeemer of Mankind,' carries Betty Baker as an angel, and Emma Stanley, left, Yvonne Elder, right rear, and Barbara Boden, right foreground."
