They anchored overnight in Shell Bank [Shellbank] Creek and ... the next morning both hulls were black. The same sickening sight was experienced by dozens of boat owners who anchor in the creek. The sewage that flows into the creek from the Knapp St. treatment plant is responsible for the effect on the boats, civics claim. They are fighting to remedy conditions." Each image also includes several small wood-frame houses in background.
