The Oregon Heart Association -- Robert lives in Portland -- was notified that the youngster wanted nothing more than to meet the Dodgers first baseman and Holmes, new Forth Worth manager. Arrangements for the visit were quickly made and Gil and Tommy responded by bringing the youngster a ball, glove, shirt and books on how to play baseball."
