Summary1776 letter from John Hancock, President of the Continental Congress, at Philadelphia, to the Committee at Trenton regarding notice that a previous letter from the committee had been put before the Congress for consideration, and also requesting that the committee send a Brigadier General Prescott and a Captain Chace "who lately commanded the Gaspy arm'd vessel in Canada" to Philadelphia, the two being among a number of officers held prisoner at Trenton, lately escorted there by Colonel Wyncoop.
