He had been chairman of the board of the Brooklyn Trust Company until 1947, and was known throughout the borough for his unselfish service in civic, patriotic, charitable, and church enterprises. Left to right are Dr. Edwin P. Maynard, Jr., a son; Robert E. Blum, vice president and secretary of AGS, and another son, Richard Maynard, active in Y. M. C. work."
