  • SummaryCaption: "Aerial view of Sheepshead Bay and Manhattan Beach--Looking eastward from head of Bay. Emmons Avenue was then only 80 feet wide (now 120 feet) and the entire north shore of The Bay was then clubs and restaurants. On the Manhattan Beach side, the entire southern and eastern sides of the peninsula was filled-in land, by Joseph P. Day, Inc. (Now [it is] the site of Kingsborough Community College. During World War II, the Coast Guard Training Station was located there.)".
