Caption: "Sanctuary bell--Located in the tower of the Flatbush Reformed Church [Flatbush Avenue and Church Avenue], celebrating its 300th anniversary, is the bell which tolled the death of every President from George Washington to Franklin Delano Roosevelt. It was shipped to the church from the Netherlands, the gift of John Vanderbilt, and the sanctuary was dedicated when George Washington was President of the United States."
