SummaryCadman Plaza construction site in Downtown Brooklyn with several pedestrians, several moving automobiles and one truck on left, retail shop, moving truck, and street light on pole in right foreground, and commercial, office, and residential buildings on both sides. Caption: "Proposed area for super parking garage and bus terminal for Brooklyn Civic Center. Bird's eye view looking north on Adams Street--Vito P. Battista, co-designer of the Brooklyn Civic Center, offered city officials a plan for a super underground 2,000 car parking garage and bus terminal in the Center. The parking garage and bus terminal would be constructed underground, on two levels, directly in the middle of the Civic Center. It would cover a 'T' shaped area. Photo shows one arm of the 'T' which would be constructed under the surface of Adams Street, between Willoughby and Tillary Streets. Fulton and Willoughby Streets intersect with Adams Street in the foreground of this photo. On the right, Adams Street is flanked by the Brooklyn Edison Company, and further down, the new Domestic Relations Court Building. In the distance on the right is the New York City Community College. On the left foreground will be the new proposed Brooklyn Supreme Court Building, and further down already constructed is the Federal Building and the post office. Adams Street would remain a thru road with the parking directly underneath."
