Digital Collections

The Veterans Creative Arts Program at the New York Harbor Hospital, facilitated by creative arts therapist, Beryl Brenner, gave United States veterans the opportunity to create work reflecting on their lives and experiences, both military and personal. The collection held at the Center for Brooklyn History consists of digital images of the program’s activities, including artwork and events, during the years 2008-2017. Subjects include: patriotism, veteran camaraderie, family life, and trauma.
