The Wilcox collection of cyanotypes, dating from 1892, depicts interior and exterior views of Manhattan and Brooklyn. Subjects include: buildings, intact and in the process of demolition, the Brooklyn and Williamsburg Bridges, street life, tenements and waterfront views. A small number of the prints are sepia colored indicating a different printing process.
