The Laura Fitzpatrick photograph collection features family, friends and neighbors of Laura Fitzpatrick, who received her first camera at the age of eleven. Taken outdoors on the streets, rooftops, beaches and parks of Brooklyn, with a focus on the neighborhoods of Williamsburg and Bedford-Stuyvesant, it is comprised of digital photographs, mostly black and white, with a few hand-colored examples, spanning the years 1938-1948. The original album is held by the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture.
