Marcelo Arroyave

Marcelo Arroyave is a researcher and counselor with 4+ years of experience in qualitative and quantitative research, experience in advising, outreach, and research participants and 3+ years of experience in postsecondary and K-12 education. He has work experience with economically disadvantaged youth, low-income pregnant women and immigrants in a vulnerable situation. 

Barakatullo Ašurov 

Barakatullo Ašurov is a visiting scholar at Harvard University in the Near Eastern Languages and Civiliazations Department. His research is best categorized as cultural history, with an interdisciplinary focus between history and culture broadly conceived, including languages and religions of Central Asia with emphasis on ancient Sogdiana in its Iranian and Chinese geopolitical settings. 

Dr. Talia Szydlo Berelowitz

Dr. Talia Szydlo Berelowitz is a multilingual Doctor of Psychology licensed as a Psychotherapist and as a Psychologist in the United Kingdom and Mexico. She earned her MSc in Theoretical Psychoanalytic Studies from University College London, and her Professional Doctorate (DPsych) from Regents University (London), where she trained in psychodynamic, existential, and cognitive behavior approaches. She has over 10 years of experience working with adults and young adults.Prior to relocating to New York, Talia held a permanent position at King’s College University (London), and worked as a psychotherapist in private practice.

Aleksander Berezkin

Aleksander Berezkin holds MS Candidate in Nonprofits Management at The New School (USA), BA in Sociology at Kemerovo State University (Russia). His research fields are Intersex studies, Narrative Storytelling and Fairytale therapy, Bioethics, Human Rights. In addition to his research, he is a Volunteer/Consultant at the UN program Free and Equal, and a Community Development Consultant at the community organisation of Russian Speaking Women in Immigration (http://superclara.org/) in Stamford (USA), Founder the Association of Russian Speaking Intersex people ( http://www.arsintersex.org/) in Moscow (Russia) and Astana (Kazakhstan)

Nadia Batool Bokhari is a journalist with 13 years of national and international reporting experience across Pakistan, Iraq, India, the U.K. and U.S., focusing on issues of social justice, women’s rights and healthcare. Experience in hosting and producing television and radio programs, as well as researching and reporting for print, online media, and blogs.

Chia-Lun Chang

Chia-Lun Chang is the author of One Day We Become Whites (ND/SA, 2016), recent work appears in LARB, Bettering American Poetry Volume 2, PEN America, Hyperallergic, Literary Hub, and Vinyl. A Jerome Hill Artist fellow, she has received support from Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, Tofte Lake Center, Cave Canem workshop and Poets House. She has performed at MoMA PS1, Ace hotel, Poetry project, and Queens museum and lectured at Pratt institute, Queens college, New York foundation for the arts, Tougaloo college and Hanoi university of business & technology. Kenrick Demesvar

Kenrick Demesvar detained a Bachelor and a Master’s degree both in History from the State University of Haiti, and a Ph.D. in Cultural Anthropology from Laval University, Québec – Canada. He is currently a Substitute Teacher in New York City and an Adjunct Professor at the African and Haitian Studies and Research Institute of the State University of Haiti.

Ajibola Fatokun

Ajibola Fatokun is a qualified professor with many years of experience as a construction professional, lecturer and university administrator. Skilled in the subject of construction engineering management. Demonstrated achievements in the form of academic scholarships and awards. Published in multiple scholarly journals and conference proceedings

Roberto Garay

Roberto Garay earned his PhD in political science from The National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) in 2004,  and his BA (Political Science) and MA in public International law from the Jose Matias Delgado University, San Salvador, El Salvador, Central America. Currently he works with an Information Technology Company in New Jersey.

Lyosha Gorshkov

Lyosha Gorshkov, PhD in Political Science, Co-President at RUSA LGBT, and founder the Brighton Beach Pride. He is a Visiting Professor at Indiana University, Bloomington (August-October 2019) and a former Political Science Professor at Perm State University in Russia. In July 2014, after being persecuted and physically threatened by Security Services, and Neo-Nazi groups for being openly gay professor, and vocal advocate for LGBTIQ rights, he was forced to leave Russia. Lyoha's sphere of academic expertise is gender and queer studies. He was granted asylum in the U.S. in March 2017.

Igor Kazachkov

Igor Kazachkov is a PhD in Economics with eight years of experience in data analysis and interpretation, research, and policy reviews for business groups and industrial companies. Back in Ukraine, he taught Business Economics and Economic Analysis for more than six years at a state university. He is currently a Chief Executive Officer of a company providing courier delivery services.

Nara Roberta Silva

Nara Roberta Silva earned her B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. in Sociology from the State University of Campinas (Unicamp), Brazil. She has been a visiting scholar at the CUNY Graduate Center and currently teaches at Lehman College - CUNY. Nara is also an academic advisor and writer at the Brazilian Foundation, where she assists Brazilian-background students to navigate the U.S. educational environment.
