In 1857, the Mercantile Library Association of the City of Brooklyn established a library in this neighborhood, succeeded by the Brooklyn Public Library. In 1991 the Cadman Plaza West building underwent extensive renovations, which added a new auditorium and other space.

Resumption of Full Hours at the Brooklyn Heights Branch



Beginning Wednesday October 1, 2014 we will resume our regular hours. Please visit us during our returning full schedule of hours and activities for all ages !




During our summer branch hours please note that programming is suspended until October 1, 2014.

If assistance is required for picking up a library " hold ", please contact us at 718-623-7100 and we will work to make sure that you recieve any material that may be waiting for you to pick up . Just call !
