Temporary Closing

Brooklyn Public Library will temporarily close the Ulmer Park Library at the end of business on Friday, March 27, 2015 for renovation. Improvements to the branch include a new roof and new LED lighting. We expect to reopen in late Fall 2015. During the closure we will provide interim Bookmobile service on Mondays and Wednesdays from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Ulmer Park Library opened as a sub-Library in 1951, and within five years grew into a full library. The library moved to its current location in 1963. The library houses a large Russian and Chinese book collection. In 1988, it became the first BPL library to implement computer-networked circulation.
