Sneakers for Social Justice

This three-part* event give high school teens the chance to learn about sneaker culture, explore social justice issues and talk to artists about expressing identity and viewpoints through design. The last session allows teens to customize their own pair of sneakers and enter a contest to win prizes!

Self-taught artist who started his career at the age of nine in the streets of Philadelphia. He lives and works in New York City and recently collaborated with PUMA to create a special edition customized sneaker.

Session 3: ARTIST TALK & CUSTOMIZE

All events take place in the Dweck Center at Central Library.

*Teens MUST be able to attend all 3 Saturday sessions (June 24, July 1, and July 15) to receive free sneakers to customize at the last session. All events take place in the Dweck Center at Central Library. Application is required. Space is limited. Open to high school teens only.
