University Open Air: Beauty and Ugliness In French and Francophone Literature and the Arts

We will examine some laudatory and critical devices used in some emblematic works to present the concept of beauty and ugliness.

Nadia Bongo holds a PhD in French Language and Literature from Aix Marseille Université. She taught French Language, Literature and Research in the French Academy for six years. After publishing literary articles, she decided to focus on her creative work and attended a Cave Canem Workshop. Her poetry is forthcoming in Newtown literary journal and she is a Brooklyn Poets Fellowship finalist (Fall 2020). Nadia is currently working on a poetry collection.
