BPL Presents science and math social sciences University Open Air

In the last decade, the entire globe has experienced several catastrophic moments, which will only increase as the years go by. Within the U.S. alone, people can attest to this by the increase in weather alerts issued by authorities throughout the years. In this workshop, we will discuss the current state of the environment to better understand where we stand, what causes these dangerous conditions and measures that can be taken to mitigate the impact.

Eugene Opoku-Mensah is an Assistant Professor at Middlesex’s College Department of Computer Science with a special focus in data science and information security. He taught mathematics and technology in Ghana, China, and the United States. Dr. Opoku-Mensah uses an interactive approach to help students grasp difficult concepts.

*In case of rain, classes may be canceled. Registered patrons will be notified by email on the morning of the course day should classes need to be canceled and are also encouraged to check the UOA webpage and BPL Presents’ Facebook and Twitter pages for updates.

Classes will take place outside along the lawn surrounding the Boathouse in Prospect Park.

Presented in collaboration with Prospect Park Alliance.
