Meditation for Creative Expression
In "Meditation for Creative Expression" sound healing practitioner and meditation teacher, Lavender Suarez, will guide participants through a series of introductory exercises to explore how meditating can help inspire creativity. Participants will be guided through calming exercises such as mindful breathing and gentle movement alongside writing and drawing prompt exercises to assist in facilitating an expressive and clear mind. Lavender will lead a sound bath (a meditative concert with live gong and singing bowl playing) to further assist participants in feeling relaxed and uplifted to conclude the workshop.
We recommend participants bring yoga mats to lie down on during the sound bath portion of the workshop for additional comfort. However, we will provide a few for those who do not have them. We will provide paper and pens/pencils, but participants may feel free to bring their own.
This workshop will run every Sunday in January 2020, with sessions on 1/5, 1/12, 1/19, and 1/26. The series is structured so that participants may attend all, some, or one of the workshops. Space is extremely limited.
