The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) is winding down! But we're still here to help.
What is happening?
Due to a lack of funding from Congress, the ACP program is expected to end on April 7, 2024. However, this date is an estimate and is expected to change. What does this mean?
No new ACP enrollments will be accepted after February 7, 2024 11:59:00 PM EST.
Households that enrolled before February 7, 2024 will continue to receive the ACP until the funding runs out (April 2024). All households enrolled in the ACP program will receive the benefit on their internet service until April 2024: however, this is an estimate and could change.
What to expect?
All households enrolled in the ACP program will recieve the benefit on their internet service until April 2024. This is however an estimate and could change.
During this wind-down period, ACP households will recieve a notice from their internet service provider about the effects of the wind-down on their service and internet bill. These will include:
- ACP is coming to an end.
- Changes on their bill.
- Date of the last bill they will obtain the ACP benefit.
- And, that you may change your service or opt-out of continuing services after the ACP ends.
ACP households will also recieve notices from the Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC), the adminstrator of ACP.
ACP households may change their service without any penalty.
