Greenpoint, Eco Lab 1
Join Sane Energy Project for an information session on public energy utilities and how they work in New York City.
At this community event you will learn:
Who makes decisions about public energy utilities
How do they charge you
What are alternatives to unstable fossil fuels
How to stop utility rate increases
How to get involved in fossil fuel free energy advocacy
Sane Energy Project’s mission is to replace fracked gas infrastructure with 100% democratically controlled, renewable energy in New York State. We build every campaign through a lens of racial, social, and ecological justice.
We believe that the transition to a renewable and democratic energy system requires a powerful grassroots movement of skilled, informed, and diverse people. Our style of organizing builds a knowledgeable and engaged base and creates strong bonds within and across communities battling fossil fuel projects across New York State.

Greenpoint Bike Clinic Repair and Maintenance Pop-up
Greenpoint, Demonstration Garden
Join us in the Demonstration Garden for free community-based bicycle repair and maintenance led by Greenpoint Bike Clinic.
Community members are invited to bring their bikes for:
basic tune-ups
flat repairs
brake adjustments
shifter adjustments
The clinic can also help riders identify parts they may need and offer guidance for anyone interested in learning more about maintaining their own bike.
All services are free, and open to all!
The goal is to provide practical support, empower neighbors to care for their bikes, and encourage healthy, low-carbon transportation in our community.
The Greenpoint Bike Clinic is a free, community-based bicycle repair and maintenance pop-up led by local resident Josh Rotbert, who has been involved in bicycle advocacy and repair workshops in Brooklyn for several years. Josh is passionate about making cycling more accessible, practical, and sustainable for everyday transportation, and started the clinic as a way to support neighbors who rely on their bikes to get around the city.
