The Revolution
From 1868 to 1870, Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton published a weekly paper, The Revolution, in New York City. Its motto: "The true republic - men, their rights and nothing more; women, their rights and nothing less." Like many efforts of women's rights activists, it was criticized in the press.
Read about women's rights in these two articles from the Brooklyn Daily Eagle:
Editorial (May 12, 1870)
"Women in Massachusetts" (April 23, 1869)
