Welcome to Brooklyn Public Library's new website! We've redesigned the site to make it easier for our patrons to discover books, programs and resources that they'll love.
Here are some of the biggest changes:
The site's main navigation is now organized around the ways you can engage with the library: borrow, learn and attend. Explore the site based on the different ways you use the library.
The old BPL website required you to choose between searching our catalog and searching the content of our website. On the new site, you can search for anything in the same search field.
Articles and Databases
The Articles & Databases section is now called Learning Resources. This name better reflects the types of information available, and allows you to sort by subject matter and access level.
Our new interactive branch map allows you to search for branches by a variety of features - hours, offerings and more - to help you find the best locations to meet your needs.
Our new online account center allows you to access all of your library card features in one place: all the information about on your borrowed materials - items on hold, renewals, fines - as well as email subscriptions, room reservations and program registrations. You will need to log in using your barcode. (Note: our catalog is run on a third-party platform, and will appear different from the new website’s look and feel.)
BPL's flagship cultural and literary programming has a new name and a more dynamic online presence! Explore our highly-curated series of premiere events.
