Teens, ages 14-19! Motivated, collaborative, creative individuals who want to share their voice in library decision-making, event-planning and leadership.
Plan and execute an urban arts event for teens at Central Library. Build skills in event planning, budgeting, and marketing. Learn the ins and outs of how libraries operate. Serve as peer leaders and library advocates.
Once Wednesday a month from 5:30-7:30 PM from Nov-May, plus mid-winter break intensive and event on April 13, 2018.
Brooklyn Public Library's Central Library, located at 10 Grand Army Plaza in Brooklyn.
All applicants will received a follow up email, and select applicants will be invited for an interview. 10 teens will be offered a spot on the Youth Council. We look forward to receiving your application!
