Have questions about rent, employment or food? Let’s get some answers.

The Virtual Open Newsroom is back, and this time we’ll bring in experts from organizations across the city to answer questions, share resources and shed some light on how to navigate these issues during COVID.  You can sign up for one or come to all three!

  • To ask questions and get some answers about rent on Wednesday, Aug. 5, at 6 p.m. sign up here
  • To ask questions and get some answers about employment on Tuesday, Aug. 11 at 6 p.m. sign up here
  • To ask questions and get some answers about accessing food on Thursday, Aug. 13 at 6 p.m. sign up here

The Virtual Open Newsroom will meet on Zoom again, and break into smaller groups for the conversations. This time, the breakout rooms will have both facilitators and folks knowledgeable about specific topics to join in the conversation and field your questions.

Once you sign up, we’ll send you the zoom link to the Virtual Open Newsroom the day of the event.

The Open Newsroom is an initiative between THE CITY and Brooklyn Public Library to make local news a collaborative process with neighborhood residents. We’ve held 10 meetings at three library branches in different Brooklyn neighborhoods and six Virtual Open Newsrooms.
