Storytelling from around the world. A picture can prompt a whole story (it’s worth at least 500 words in a picture book anyway). Using postcards from around the world, everyone would try to shape a story based on the image they choose.

Ages: 8 – 12. Seating is limited, first come, first served. Participants limited to 25 kids.

Award-winning children’s book author and illustrator Pat Cummings is Brooklyn Public Library’s 2016 Katowitz Radin Artist-in-Residence. Join us as Pat along with former students and illustrators she has mentored facilitate workshops that will teach storytelling and art skills through the development of a picture book.
