Spring Creek presents Creative Aging: “Sketchbook Journaling: Drawing & Writing”
This Creative Aging virtual program is hosted by Spring Creek Library!
The program will be taught by the artist Nan Carey via Zoom and scheduled for Tuesdays, beginning February 28, 2023 and will end with a culminating event on April 11, 2023
Program Description:
While sharing their stories, participants will explore and develop drawing, design skills, and journal writing through creative prompts and exercises. In this virtual program via Zoom, participants will explore writing, drawing, and watercolor pencil techniques to illustrate their immediate story. Participants will also study the work of well-known writers and artists.
The instructor will demonstrate how to start a sketchbook journal with playful prompts. Each page will feature drawings, paintings, and writing that will further be embellished using design elements with various materials.
Participants will be encouraged to ask questions and share their own expertise. The instructor will assign or suggest a homework assignment to encourage regular practice between classes.
