Reading is Fundamental (RIF) is a program where babies, children, and young adults earn free books by checking out and returning library books. There is no limit to how many free books can be earned. Plus, kids get a free book on their birthday and when they sign up.
Check in with a librarian when you visit the library to record your progress. When you check out 2 books in a week, you will select a new free book to keep every third week.
Participants must have their own library card. For information about how to get a library card, stop by a local branch or visit www.bklynlibrary.org/use-the-library/borrow.
Books provided by Reading Is Fundamental through a partnership with Macy’s.
