The Covid-19 experience that we have unexpectedly faced is an epidemiological and psychological crisis. The uncertainty of tomorrow, the enormity of changes that we had to deal with in a short time, such as social isolation, changes in our daily functioning, loss or reorganization of the work rhythm, school, financial stress, death of loved ones or fear for our own and family health and safety left a big mark on our the psyche. How to recognize disturbing signals, how to deal with the current situation?

Katarzyna Fiorita is a licensed New York psychotherapist specializing in working with adolescents and adults. She works at Outreach Greenpoint, with people struggling with addiction and their families. She conducts general psychotherapy at the St. Mark's Institute for Mental Health in the East Village and a private practice in Williamsburg. For many years, she has been associated with The International Focusing Institute, where she completed postgraduate training in psychotherapy. Currently, she is fascinated by working with trauma using the EMDR approach.
