Photoshop Open Lab
Working on a design project and need help bringing it to life? Just learning Photoshop and want some tips and best practices? Drop by at any time during this open lab to get assistance.
We have Macbooks with Photoshop for use during this program, but if you want to work on an existing project, please make sure to bring along a thumb drive or other storage device with your files.
Jen Meller is a photographer and filmmaker. She has Master of Fine Art in Film and Electronic Media from American University. She currently teaches at BRIC, with courses specializing in Photoshop, Video Editing, Motion Graphics and Camera Skills. Jen has created animated text videos for A +E and History Channel. She currently directs and shoots music videos in the local Brooklyn music scene, films live sets with BTR, and shoots editorials. Prior to graduate school she earned a Bachelors of Arts degree from American University in 2011, studying Film and Media Arts. She moved to New York and worked as a fashion photographer and retoucher for Singer22.com. Jen also shot Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in the spring of 2013. In returning to Washington DC to attend graduate school, Jen focused her media on topics of gender identity, women’s issues, and music. Many of her photographic images are featured in Washington City Paper, Rolling Stone Magazine, and Brightest Young Things.
