**This event will take place at Bushwick Inlet Park Community Center, 86 Kent Ave**
Join us for a talk with Greening Greenpoint’s Bill Schmidt to learn about the reign and destruction of the Asian Longhorn Beetle in Greenpoint and the new scourge of our trees, the Emerald Ash Borer.
After the talk will be a community scanning event to document the environmental history of Greenpoint. Please bring your documents, photographs, ephemera - anything we can scan! What do you have in your personal collection that tells of the story of Greenpoint’s environment?
By contributing to Brooklyn Public Library's digital collection you can help decide how Greenpoint’s environmental history will represented and remembered.
The Greenpoint Oral History and Community Scanning Project is made possible by the Greenpoint Community Environmental Fund.
