Join us for this exciting new movement and early literacy program at the library! In this eight week session, caregivers and children will explore practices that help children build their body and grow their brain.
- Learn movement skills that increase coordination, balance and enhance gross and fine motor skills.
- Practice mindful breathing and moving practices that help concentration and focus.
- Explore stories through movement to encourage a love of reading.
- Learn movement games, activities and strategies you can try at home!
Move to Learn is part of BPL’s First Five Years initiative which is supported by generous funding from the NY City Council as part of City’s First Readers. Additional support is provided by The Pinkerton Foundation, The Edith Glick Shoolman Children’s Foundation, Novack Family Foundation, Lucille Strider and Robert Myrstad in memory of Adam Strider, the Brooklyn Eagles—a group of young Brooklyn Public Library supporters, and funds raised at BPL’s annual Gala.
