Did you know that Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention is one of the best things you can do to prevent falls? This evidence-based exercise program reduces the risk of falling by improving strength, balance, flexibility, and coordination. Join certified instructors Gia Ramsey, Injury Prevention/Education Outreach Coordinator at Maimonides Medical Center, and Dave Briscoe, Trauma Injury Prevention Coordinator from Richmond University Medical Center for this twice a week, 8-week progressive program. Each session includes a comprehensive warm-up, learning one to two movements, and a cool-down, building to a full 12-movement combination. Modifications will be available to accommodate those with mobility issues.

This program will run every Tuesday and Wednesday from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PMSeptember 13th - November 2nd.

*Thank you for your interest in joining our Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention series, but effective Friday, September 16, registration for the series is closed due to class capacity. If you are interested in registering for the Spring Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention series, please reach out to Gia Ramsey, gramsey@maimonidesmed.org.*
