Brooklyn Connections' favorite educator workshop is back! Join us as we explore the history of Green-Wood Cemetery and meet some of its finest (and most infamous!) permanent residents. This workshop kicks off in the morning with a historic trolley tour of Green-Wood's grounds, notably some of the finest 478 acres you'll find in New York City, site of the American Revolution’s Battle of Brooklyn, and the resting place of countless notable Brooklynites. After lunch, we’ll spend our afternoon learning together at the cemetery about practical lesson ideas for helping students investigate archival resources on the life and death of some of Brooklyn’s most influential people. Please be prepared to walk; this event takes place rain or shine.
