Greet the Green Goats at Van Cortlandt House Museum
Van Cortlandt House Museum in conjunction with the Van Cortlandt Park Alliance has welcomed landscaping goats to eat invasive weeds on the lawn of Van Cortlandt House for the next two summers. Van Cortlandt House Museum Director, Laura Carpenter, will introduce viewers to the goats in residence (2), explain why they were brought in, and contextualize how today’s Van Cortlandt Park was once a working farm.
