Join BPL, Greening Greenpoint, and local historian Geoff Cobb for an environmental history of Greenpoint! Mr. Cobb will lead a walking tour of Greenpoint, then give a lecture at the Bushwick Inlet Park Community Room. Following the lecture we will hold a community scanning event. Light refreshments will be served.
Brooklyn Public Library’s Greenpoint Oral History and Community Scanning Project is dedicated to documenting and preserving the environmental history of Greenpoint, and you can help by contributing an item to the project. We will scan items such as documents, photographs, ephemera and momentos. We’re also happy to have digital items such as JPGs, DOCs and PDFs.
By contributing to this project you will help define how Greenpoint’s environmental history will be remembered.
