artist talks BPL Presents environment green series

During winter much of Brooklyn turns gray as leaves disappear from trees and the sun hides behind clouds. In the February Green Series, learn some tricks from one of the best artists in New York for incorporating sustainable color, green and other, to your buildings and walls.

Led by green builder and artist, Gennaro Brooks-Church, Eco Brooklyn is passionate about blending vintage artistry with cutting-edge technology. The result is a large portfolio of awe-inspiring living wall systems and many soil remediation projects. In this roughly one hour talk and conversation, Eco Brooklyn will help you consider ways to develop a close relationship with nature while falling in love with your living and office spaces or your outdoor environment. But as the presentation will show, their work enhances not just the aesthetics of living spaces. It also facilitates environmental sustainability and improves the quality of life of all living creatures.

Brooklyn Public Library’s Green Series is a series dedicated to innovators in environmental conservation and understanding, and presents these voices while the new Greenpoint Branch is being renovated and redesigned with a new environmental education center. Join us and learn how to make an impact and make your voices heard.

This program is made possible through the generous support of Whole Foods Market.
