Her web series True Trans was nominated for a 2015 Emmy award, and she writes an advice column for noisey.com, called “Mandatory Happiness.” She has a daughter and lives in Chicago.
Octavia Project uses science fiction to encourage girls, including trans, gender-expansive, and questioning youth in Brooklyn, to dream big and empower them with skills to design their own futures. Our free summer program gives these teens space to explore science and tech through art and writing, growing their confidence and building skills while dreaming new futures for themselves and their communities.
