Free Summer Meals
Free Summer Meals are available throughout New York City to anyone ages 18 years old and under. Designated public libraries (including the Canarsie Branch Library), schools, community pool centers, parks, and food trucks will be open for service. No registration, documentation, or ID is necessary to receive a meal.
The Summer Meals program is managed by the NYC Department of Education. We offer sandwiches, wraps, fresh fruit, vegetables, salads, and cold milk for young people to enjoy. Daily menu is posted onsite. Special food days: Meatless Mondays and Vegan Fridays (milk is still available on Vegan Fridays, though the main course will be vegan).
